Innovate UK and TACET video launch!
We are super proud to launch the Innovate UK and TACET video that Innovate filmed for us.
Evidence-based training has long been used across many different industries. This method involves in-person evaluations carried out by human instructors who analyse the technical competencies demonstrated during the assessment. However, at a time when remote learning opportunities must become more available and more accessible, there is an urgent need to shift towards more agile, more mobile training. Cineon Training, co-founded by Toby de Burgh, is addressing this need through innovative alternatives to traditional learning solutions.
The organisation uses virtual reality (VR) and eye tracking technologies to provide a deep insight into how people connect visual information through identifying links between vision and action. It’s a way of providing new, scientifically backed techniques for today’s businesses to offer critical simulation training and boost situational awareness outside of physical locations.
With help from Innovate UK’s Sustainable Innovation Fund, Cineon Training was able to develop a new product called TACET – Training Aircrew Competency using Eye Tracking – within a short timescale to meet growing demand for remote training across the aviation industry. TACET combines eye tracking technology with behavioural monitoring to ensure air crew can be trained efficiently to top standards even out of the cockpit.
