Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate researcher to join our team at Cineon as a key player in shaping the future of training and therapy through Extended Reality (XR). The successful candidate will work alongside other team members to develop innovative concepts regarding human performance and bring them to life in XR. This individual will support several research and development-related activities across various projects in health, military and aviation performance settings. All these projects focus on immersive technology and understanding its design, development, evaluation and implementation. 

Responsibilities

• Assist in running research and evaluation exercises 
• Conduct software testing and data collection tasks 
• Perform literature reviews and horizon-scanning activities 
• Analyse data and write code to fulfil project objectives 
• Write comprehensive reports and proposals 
• Communicate project information to lay audiences 
• Represent the company at events and demonstrations 

Requirements: 

• Master’s in Psychology/Sport Psychology/Cognitive Science or similar  
• Excellent analytical and communication skills 
• Good understanding of human performance and psychology 
• Proficiency in coding languages (e.g., Python) and data analysis tools (e.g., Matlab) 
• Proven ability to write technical reports to a high standard 
• Familiarity with research methodologies and ethical principles 
• Evidence of working independently and to fixed deadlines 
• A passion for immersive technology and its applications, and previous experience working with XR are a plus
